Terms & Conditions

WHEN RENTING FROM CDG RENTALS MELBOURNE, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

  • To book in a rental, message CDG Rentals via DM on Instagram, with the rental that you are interested in and the required date of your booking.

  • All bookings require:

    • Full payment, which includes the price of the rental, the bond and postage if required. 

    • A valid form of government issued ID for security of the rental. 

    • And confirmation that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

  • Bookings are only confirmed once full payment has been received. Payment must be made prior to the renter receiving the garment.

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or Pay ID.

  • We do not hold bookings without payment.

LIABILITY

  • You are responsible for the garment, the entire time you have it.

  • Please ensure that you keep the garment in your sole possession and do not lend it to anyone else.

  • We expect you to treat the garment with respect and ensure that you return it in the same condition that you received it in.

  • Do not alter the garment in any way (eg. pinning, hemming, cutting, stitching, etc.)

  • Be mindful of fake tan stains, drink spills or makeup, as the fabrics are very delicate and stains cannot always be easily removed. If you are fake tanning, please make sure that you wash off your tan very well before wearing the garment.

DAMAGES

  • CDG Rentals must be notified of any damages straight away.

  • Once you have received your rental, please ensure that it is not damaged in any way, and if this is the case YOU MUST notify us as soon as possible to avoid being held liable.

  • If there are no damages reported to us on the day of collection, and we then receive the item back with damages, you will be liable for these damages.

  • If the item has minor damage that can be fixed, any repair costs will be deducted from the bond.

  • If the repair costs are more than the bond, you are required to pay the remainder of the repair costs.

  • If the item is returned with any permanent damage that will prevent the garment from being rented in the future, your bond will be forfeited and you will be charged the full recommended retail price (RRP) of the item, which you will be required to pay within 48 hours of returning it. The RRP does NOT include the rental price or your bond. 

  • If any garment is lost, stolen or damaged, you will be required to pay the full RRP of the item within 48 hours.

BONDS

  • A bond will be applied to all pieces, to ensure that the rental is returned on time and damage free.

  • The bond is paid at the time of booking, and will be refunded after the rental has been returned on time, and the garment has been thoroughly inspected and washed by CDG Rentals.

  • Please allow up to 5 business days for the bond to be refunded, after the return of your rental.

  • Bonds will be taken when:

  • The item is damaged and requires minor repairs.

  • The item is damaged beyond repair and the bond is automatically forfeited.

  • Additional or specialist cleaning is required.

  • Late fees are applied.

  • $5 will be deducted if your garment is not returned in the same bag that you received it in, as we will need to purchase a replacement bag.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

  • Once a booking has been made, all payments are final and non refundable.

  • If you need to cancel due to sickness/event cancellation, you are required to give us 48 hours notice prior to your agreed collection date. 

  • Cancellations made 48 hours before the agreed collection date will be given a credit note, (NO REFUNDS),  and the bond will be refunded. This credit note will be valid for 3 months.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not receive a credit note.

  • Credit notes will not be given for items that do not fit or for change of mind.

  • If you receive your item and then change your mind for any reason, you may organise a swap (if time permits) with another item that is still available. The swap must be made within 24 hours of collecting the original garment. If you do not wish to swap, then you will still be charged the full price.

  • CDG Rentals can cancel your booking at any time, if an item is unavailable due to damages, or not being returned from a previous booking. In this case, a full refund will be issued and you are welcome to book a replacement garment at a discounted price.

TRY ONS

  • Try on’s are available in our Clyde North studio and can be booked online via the following link, which can also be found in our bio:

  • Try on times and availability can vary, so always check our booking link first, and if you can’t find a suitable time, send us a DM so we can figure something out.

  • Try on appointments require a $10 booking fee, as well as a valid form of government issued ID to secure your time slot.

  • The $10 try on fee is non-refundable if you attend and decide not to proceed with a hire.

  • If you decide to hire during your appointment, the $10 fee will be deducted from the hire cost.

  • If you do not show up, or cancel within 72 hours of your allocated try on time, this will forfeit your $10 fee.

RETURNS

  • All returns must be made the next day following your event, regardless of if this is a business day.

  • Rentals must be returned to our mailbox by 5pm on your agreed return date.

  • Rentals must be returned in the same bag that you received it in, otherwise replacement fees will be charged.

  • If you are unable to return your rental on the required date, this must be discussed PRIOR to picking up your rental, so that another date can be agreed upon.

  • If the item is not returned by the agreed return date, a $15 late fee will apply for EACH DAY that it is not returned.

  • All postage returns must be lodged with an Australian Post Office the next business day after your event.

  • All postage returns MUST be express, and a tracking number must be provided.

  • If the item is not returned by the required date, and we do not receive any communication as to why it hasn’t been returned, the authorities will be contacted and they will be given a copy of your ID, as this is a form of theft, and will not be tolerated.

POSTAGE

  • Postage costs are not included in the rental or bond price. This is an additional fee that will be charged accordingly depending on size.

  • All postage costs are at the expense of the renter.

  • All rentals that are sent or returned MUST be EXPRESS post and are to be lodged in an Australian Post Office only.

  • Shipped items are posted by @cdg.rentals.melbs after full payment has been made. Once it has been sent by us, we will provide you with a tracking number via DM.

  • If you are returning via post, it must be EXPRESS and it must be lodged by 3pm the day following your event, or 3pm Monday if it is a weekend rental.

  • Renters are required to provide photo evidence of both the shipping satchel, and the tracking number to @cdg.rental.melbs via DM.

  • All weekend rentals must be booked before Wednesday 12pm to ensure that your rental arrives by the weekend.

  • Australia post can be unreliable at times and this unfortunately is something out of my control. If your rental is delayed due to Australia Post, I cannot be responsible and no refunds or store credits will be given.

CLEANING

  • Please return the garment as it is, and do not attempt to wash or clean it yourself.

  • All cleaning fees, for the first clean only, including dry cleaning, are included in the rental price.

  • If any additional cleaning or repairs are necessary, a fee will be charged.

SECURITY & IDENTIFICATION

  • For security reasons, a picture of a valid form of government issued photo ID, that clearly states your name and current address, must be sent to @cdg.rentals.melbs on Instagram via DM, prior to picking up or posting your rental.
